Our friend would have been horrified that when they did clean the car for us they used a Gurni and scrubbed it to get the overspray off!! This on a classic car which she kept in show condition.

Wow what an experience! I have to give them -5 for attitude after recent dealings with them. A dear friend died the day she was due to pick up her car, which (due to inept legal assistance) took my partner 5 months to collect. He had rung the insurers about possible storage costs, as well as his solicitor on many occasions, to be informed it may be $300 - 400. 2 weeks prior to receiving the go ahead to legally retrieve the car he also rang Casino Smash Repairs to ask them to charge the battery and get the car ready for collection. On arrival we were told the storage costs were over $2,300! And the car was dusty and battery not charged. So we told the owner we'd pay anyway yet some 20 minutes later when we inquired how long it would take them to charge the battery it still hadn't been put on charge because "You didn't make it clear you were picking it up today". Oh yes we did, in fact we made it clear we'd travelled more than 500km specifically to rescue the car from further storage costs... She then told us that 5 months waiting for a deceased estate was nothing, and some cars took up to two years to be cleared. I should imagine their ridiculous storage costs mean that they'd end up with quite a few cars simply because the amount owed would be more than the value of the car.
